Canon 5D
I absolutely love this camera. I used to own its upgrade (Canon 5D Mark II). This camera is everything you could possibly want for portrait photography. It is light weight and compact. Also, with this camera having a full-frame sensor, all of your lenses will preform without the crop factor. I do not shoot a whole lot of video work so this camera is perfect for my needs. I shoot 75% of my work with this body. 12 Megapixels is also very acceptable.
Overall I give this body an 8/10

Canon 1D Mark II
This camera I am not too sure about yet. I have had this body for about two months and I have only used it at a wedding and some brief studio work. Lets start with the perks of this body. It is super comfortable to hold. The battery lasts for a really long time. On burst, this body shoots at 8.5 frames per second which is insanely fast. The Al Servo Focus is extremely smooth and accurate. This body was made for shooting sports so the noise you get at high ISO is very reasonable. The cons to this body is that, although I do not judge a camera by megapixels, 8 megapixels is just low. The back screen is tiny and does not give an accurate display of your images.
Overall I give this body a 4/10

Canon 50mm f1.4
This lens is flat out PERFECT. Other reviewers on youtube have described this lens as "Soft". I completely disagree. Almost all of my work is shot with this lens. It works incredibly well in low light. Being able to open up the aperture to f1.4 offers insane DOF. The bokeh on this lens is fantastic. The lens is compact and lightweight. The front of the lens pops out when it is focused anything short of infinity, which I have heard, these lenses break when that part gets bumped. I always shoot with the hood on mine. I never have issues with chromatic aberration and the lens is at its sharpest when I shoot at f2.
Overall I give this lens a 9.5/10

Canon 28mm F1.8
I only got this lens recently but I use it A LOT. It is very useful in most situations. The lens is wide on my full frame bodies. The bokeh on this lens is pretty good. The lens is acceptable sharp. The corners get soft, which does not bother me since I shoot so much of my work at wide apertures for the DOF that I love. As far as wide angle lenses go, this lens is incredibly compact and light weight. I have been shooting a lot of portrait work with this lens but I will mainly use this lens for weddings.
Overall I give this lens an 8/10

Canon 70-200mm F4
I am not a fan of zoom lenses. I love my prime lenses but this lens is a must. Since I do not shoot a whole lot of work that requires a long lens, i opted for this lens rather than Canon's 70-200mm f/2.8. This lens sells for about $700 brand new. Shooting at f/4 is acceptable for me in a situation where I am zoomed in at 200mm. The main selling point of this lens is the L-Series glass. The images come out razor sharp. I use this lens a lot in studio work where DOF typically is not a factor. Compared to the 70-200mm f/2.8, this lens is very lightweight.
Overall I give this lens a 7/10
