There are all kinds of photographers out there. Some photograph cars for a living, other photograph buildings, and most photograph people. Portraiture has always been my focus. However, portraiture is a very broad genre. There is all kinds of portraiture out there ranging from family photos to nude modeling. As a photographer, I spend a good amount of my time seeing what other photographers are shooting. It seems like a lot of photographers have taken the nude modeling route. Although there is nothing wrong with that, i personally think its selling out. Most of the photographers that shoot "artistic nude" or even just flat out naked or risque photos of women are doing so because, either, they are generating a huge amount of view to their site, they make money off of them, and/or they are just perverts. I know this is a very strong opinion but I personally think that there is a million ways to make money and a million ways to express yourself artistically without sexually exploiting someone. My goal in photography is to produce stunning, yet classical portrayals of my subjects. I don't need to photograph someone naked to bring about their natural beauty. I understand that my opinions may not be popular to everyone but thats where I stand. I love my clients and I love the work that I do, and if that means making less money, then so be it. I couldn't be happier with the direction that my work is heading.
